BIOGRAPHY 

Serkan Yellice (b. 1998) is a British-Cypriot/Turkish artist working in the field of photography, and filmmaking. BAFTA nominated - based in London. His practice integrates multiple mediums including photography, video, text, and archival material. Serkan's work often explore issues relating to history, memory, conflict, and their consequences. 

Serkan's selected past projects include ‘When, All We Were Is Gone’, a year long work focusing on the February, 2023 earthquake in Türkiye. A continuation in 2024, titled 'Untitled: A collection of stories throughout Türkiye'. A feature-length documentary, focusing on economically, social-political, women-rights issues and more. His two latest projects include, Voyage to Tinos (2024) and he is currently in pre-production for Adrift (2025), set in Senegal. 

All projects reflect on the aftermath of war, loss, migration, and natural disasters. In 2023, he dedicated himself to writing a novel while continuing to expand his artistic work. His ongoing project, Overseas, is dedicated to events in Ukraine, Türkiye, Italy, and parts of Africa.
